General FAQ

1) What is VOIP phone service? 
VOIP is telephone service that replaces your traditional home phone service that relies on copper lines with digital service that uses the internet.  It costs less money and gives you broader calling options than a traditional telephone line

2) What equipment do I need?
You must purchase and install an Analog Telephone Adapter (ATA) or use an IP Telephone to access VOIP service.  These devices are low-cost and can be self-installed without assistance in most cases.

3) Can I keep my existing phone number?
Yes! You can port your old telephone number by filing a simple form when you order service.  The fee is $10.00 per phone number, one time.

4) How much does VOIP service cost?
Our VOIP Service starts at $29.95/mo. per phone number

5) What features do I receive for $29.95? 
You receive all traditional call features such as unlimited local and long-distance calling, caller ID, call waiting, three-way calling, call forwarding, and voicemail.  Several additional business features are also available for no additional cost

6) How long will it take to port my number?
Once your Letter of Authorization (LOA) form is filed, it usually takes 3-10 business days to complete your request

7) How do I order service?

8) When do I cancel my old voice service?
Once your new service is fully installed and active, please wait approximately 3 days before calling your old provider to cancel

Having Trouble With Your Phone Service?

Most problems with your voice services can be fixed by simply rebooting your ATA

To reboot your ATA simply unplug the power source (black cord) from the back of the device or the wall.  After 5-10 seconds plug it back in and let everything sync back up.  All 3 lights at the top should be solid before making a test call. 

There is not a dial tone. What should I do?

  1. Make sure your device is connected to the internet, power, and your phone.
  2. Reboot your modem, router, and device.
  3. If you are still having issues, please contact our support team 903-438-9104

I have my device plugged in, there is a dial tone, but I cannot make phone calls in or out?

 

You may be hearing a simulated dial tone because your phone line is plugged into Phone 2 instead of Phone 1.  Make sure to have your phone plugged in to the correct port.
